The Filtrete Basic Dust Air Filter, with its unique electrostatically charged design, attracts and traps more particles from your air through your heating and cooling system, making it easier to control the air quality in your home. Each time the air passes through the filter, it becomes a little cleaner.
This filter outperforms fiberglass, washable, and non-electrostatic 3-month pleated 1 in. air filters for your furnace, air conditioner, or HVAC system. It is designed with exclusive Filtrete Brand 3-in-1 technology from 3M, which traps unwanted air particles while allowing cleaner air to flow through. It attracts and captures large particles such as lint, household dust, and dust mite debris.
The MPR 300 rating of this filter is MERV 5. The higher the MPR, the more microparticles, such as pollen, pet dander, and smoke, your filter will capture from the air.
To ensure optimal performance of your heating and cooling system or HVAC system, it is recommended to change the filter at least every 90 days. A dirty filter can slow down air flow and cause the system to work harder, resulting in wasted energy. You can sign up for a filter change reminder program that suits your needs.
Please note that this filter is for residential use only.
For added convenience, you can create a change countdown in the Filtrete Smart app. Simply scan the barcode on your filter's packaging using the app, and then choose a replacement countdown of 30, 60, or 90 days. When the lifespan is up, you'll receive a notification to change your filter.
