The Filtrete Healthy Living filters, designed by 3M with Filtrete Brand 3-in-1 technology, feature high performing electrostatic technology to proactively attract and capture microscopic particles. These particles include PM 2.5 air pollution, exhaust particles, candle soot and smoke, cough and sneeze debris, bacteria and viruses, as well as large particles such as lint, dust and pollen from the air passing through the filter. This innovative design allows for clean air to flow through while unwanted air particles are pulled in and trapped. The filters boast 5 times better small particle capture compared to non-electrostatic pleated filters for the capture of 0.3 to 1.0 micron particles, outperforming fiberglass, washable, and non-electrostatic pleated 1" filters. The Microparticle Performance Rating (MPR) of 2200 equates to a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) of 13.
